Teacher Leadership

District Chair – a district chair serves as the liaison for the FFA district to the state level leadership.

The district chair is responsible for:

  1. Serving on the Ohio Association of Agricultural Educators Delegate Council
  2. Creating and distributing the district meeting agendas
  3. Disseminating information from state level meetings to district Agricultural Educators

Vice Chair – a district vice chair serves as a supporter to the district chair. This role typically leads to service as the district chair.

The district vice chair is responsible for:

  1. Collaborating with the district chair in regards to specific responsibilities
  2. Disseminating information from state/district level meetings to district Agricultural Educators

Secretary – a district secretary keeps records from district meetings.

The district secretary is responsible for:

  1. Keeping minutes of district meetings
  2. Arranging meals for meeting
  3. Disseminating information from state/district level meetings to district Agricultural Educators

Treasurer– a district treasurer provides financial recording keeping for the FFA district.

The district treasurer is responsible for:

  1. Keeping a record of receipts and disbursements for the district
  2. Collect district dues
  3. Keep a record of paid and unpaid chapter

Mentorship Chair –  a mentorship chair is primarily responsible for communicating with teachers who are new to the district.

FFA Advisory Committee –  each district has an FFA Advisory Committee member. This committee member is asked to submit items of attention to the committee for discussion.

CDE Advisory Committee –  each district has an CDE Advisory Committee member. This committee member is asked to submit items of attention to the committee for discussion.

FFA Board of Trustees –  each region has an elected FFA Board of Trustees member. This representative is asked to vote on items pertaining to the Ohio FFA Association.
